Look what came through the post today. It’s sort of like an invitation to go crash someone’s car for them. Yeah, it’s my provisional driving licence. Over here in the UK, you send of a bit of money, along with a form and hey presto, you can learn to drive. None of your silly little application for permit the other people countries have.
So from now on it’s not all PMCC, Bradshaw Model and EBCDIC. It’s all three-point turns, parallel parking and emergency stops. Well, it would be if I could *actually* learn to drive yet.
Because it’s part of my Duke of Edinburgh award, I have to start learning to drive as soon as I can which, I believe, is 12th June. If I don’t or… well… crash, then I sort of fail my Duke of Edinburgh award. And I don’t want to do that. Go through camping in the Peak District with Phil carrying a heavy bag? Ahah. There’s something I don’t want to do more than I have to…
