Ah, April 1st. What a day.
I was watching my back pretty much all of today making sure I didn’t put my foot in the big pile of dog turd which is an April Fool’s Day joke.
I forgot how OTT Google takes April Fool’s Day, but today sort of takes the biscuit. Takes it very far. They’ve announced Project Virgle, a pioneering project between Google and Virgin to take regular people to be the first habitants of Mars in 2014. What do you have to do to be one of these people? Simply fill out a questionnaire and then submit a 30-second ‘Why should I be picked’ video to Youtube. How mean… but funny.
You should be able to see, when the video’s finished, the different, rather saddening responses from people who really want to go on it. Bless.
