Britain’s Got Talent..?

…apparently. Admittedly, it’s something we stole from America. But hey, you stole Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne, so we’ll steal your formats, kay?

Our logo's better. The idea stays pretty much the same from America’s Got Talent. So in case you don’t know, loads of people audition their talents for a stab at the live semi-final shows. There’s three judges, all of whom have a button in front of them. When pressed, it makes a big, loud, shaming noise so the act who’s performing knows they suck. If all three push their buzzers the act stops and they must give their verdict.

The first semi-final was on last night and, admittedly, it was the first time I’ve properly watched Britain’s Got Talent – Right after all the really rubbish ones. But I had seen clips of one pairing on Youtube.

Kate and Gin - From NOTW.co.uk Kate and Gin specialise in, basically, canine freestyle. The dog and the girl basically dance with one another with some great timing. You can watch their semi-final show on YouTube if you like. I’ll tell you now, they got through to the live final on Saturday and, because it’s the only real one I’ve seen from the beginning, I hope they win. :)

"What's with the guy with the broom?" The other act through last night to the final was Signature – another, this time all human, double act who do comedy dance routines. I didn’t watch their audition, but I’m sure you can find it on YouTube somewhere. Their semi-final show is on YouTube, though, so you can watch that. I thought it was the best audition of the night. Who doesn’t like Michael Jackson mixed with Bollywood?

But, obviously, there were 6 other people who didn’t get through. Sure, most of them had some talent, but what’s some talent to the Queen? But there were a couple who should’ve gone through just because they were legends:

Michael Machell - Keyboard player to the stars. Tracey Lee Collins - Ah, who doesn't love middle-aged transvestites...

So, who’ll win it? Pfft, like any of you care? It’s just awesome that two non-singing acts got through instead of people too crappy to make it amongst the X-Factor crowds. Hrmph.
