There’s another thing off of my list, thanks to John.
Simon set me the task of going to the gym at least once before he left for Camp Hawkeye, after one of my "There’s much better ways to get exercise than to pay for it" rants. So I added it to my checklist, with Simon designating little Johnny to prove I went. Hencharoonie!
So yeah. Apparently, there’s this sort of "Sport 4 Youth" event going on at the Trilogy places (You can tell it’s for kids because of the oh-so-modern use of the 4 to mean ‘for’. Oh, those witty councillors) where going to the gym at a certain time is free for leisure card holders. Because I’m on a bit of a cash-flow crisis right now, that’s fantastic. Have something to gloat at Simon for AND it being free is just double the amount of awesome.
So me and Becky followed John’s alleged fitness plan, starting on the bikes, to the treadmill, to the rowing machines, to some resistance stuff, then onto the cross-trainer. Nothing overly… amazing about it, that’s just what happened. Then me and John saw an old guy naked. *shudder*
So yeah. If it’s free, I can see myself going again. It sounds fun. I wouldn’t pay for it, though. Swimming’s more fun.
