So it’s Jacks 18th a week today, so I thought I’d best get him a present. You know, it’s the least I could do. Especially promising no more Strictly Come Dancing talk in exchange. It’s a done deal.
A long long time ago, Simon found this website which prints novelty T-shirts. One of the prints was “No, I don’t have a bloody Nectar Card!” and, after sending it to Jack, we randomly get a request for it for his birthday. Fair do’s. (For those who don’t know, he loves his job in Sainsbury’s Cafe. Asking people all day is a bit annoying, I agree, so hence the love of the shirt.)
I could find this website after about half an hour of looking, so I’m going by the assumption it doesn’t exist anymore. So I go looking for websites which let me create my own shirt. Enter streetshirts.co.uk.
I was able to really quickly create my design using the nifty design tool you see here. It’s just a case of loading up the designer, pick a colour of shirt, click ‘Text’, type in the text’, choose the text colour and boom – Finished. Not that I didn’t spend a lot of time over it and ended up putting ‘F***ing’ instead of ‘bloody’, but never mind.
I ordered it, got confirmation almost immediately. Sweet. Yesterday morning I woke up to my iPod bleeping telling me they had emailed me telling me it’s been dispatched, and I come home to find it on my desk. Awesome.
I’ve checked it out, it’s fine. It feels like all new shirts do – It needs a good wash with fabric softener, but it’s a good quality. It fits me, so it’ll definitely fit Jack. Even if it is just to wear underneath work clothes, I don’t mind as long as it has a use. Shame about the font looking not as awesome as I was hoping, but never mind. That’s my bad judgement…
So yeah. Go visit streetshirts.co.uk. Tell them Matt sent you.
