At NSB, we have these Tracker Forms to keep us all on the right lines in terms of our UCAS process. They’re in this week, and so I suppose this would be a good idea to decide where, exactly, I would like to go to university.
I had just four choices of university I could make. I was always thinking it was five, but whatever. It’d make it easier in the long run, I’m sure.
Truth be told, I only went to look around two universities – Hertfordshire and Staffordshire (Both were awesome, by the way). Hertfordshire changed the specification of what’s on their Multimedia Technology course, which sounds the most awesome one ever. That’s a shame.
So what did I choose? Good question, because I hope I chose ones which are awesome. That sounds really bad – It wasn’t that bad, honest.
One of them was the Staffordshire course called Web Multimedia. It wasn’t what I was originally looking at, but the portfolio of stuff that’s come out of that course, as well as the technology they have to allow you to do it, it’s well worth an application. 
Another was the Plymouth course Digital Art and Technology. Again, it’s probably straying from my ‘ideal’ subject, but it’s still a nice subject. I’ve always wanted to get into the more Arty sort of subject with multimedia. Experience with Final Cut Pro would just be awesome, too.
Thirdly, was a kickass sort of course at Birmingham City University. Web and New Media involves New Media (AKA sound, video and other tech-y goodness like that) with the Internet. This essentially boils down to, in a nutshell, YouTube and things like that. That’s what I wanted to study in the first place, just with more of an element on the social thing. But hey, I’ll take whatever.
The last but no means least is the Bournemouth course Interactive Media Production. I *heart* this course. I mean, just look at that set of bullet points and name one thing which wouldn’t be attributed to me in some way? I only found out about this course when looking for a course to ‘challenge’ my 300 UCAS point prediction – To push my grades up a bit – But I’ll settle for this course, thanks.
So yeah. We’ll see come results day if any of them come through.
