I’m wanting to do so much stuff recently which just costs money. What, with the Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition costing £80 + food, stuff I want to own, my laptop on its way out and a letter denoting how I fail at being able to give people stuff which arrives on a conveyor belt (ie working in Argos). I need a source of income. That’s especially true when you want to do stuff totalling on £1000 in the near future with £6.80 in your bank account.
I need to find a job. Or do I?
Since I’ve been mentioned on one or two blog design blogs, I’ve subscribed to their RSS feed. While they outline some things I don’t really fancy doing to my personal blog (ie adverts and whatnot) they are giving me ways which I could make money. That, coupled with the whole social media thing on the increase, I got thinking that I could make money from this…
The YouTube Partner Program is just an example of what sort of things you could do, but essentially that rewards you for making videos. Some of the people I’ve seen off of the site have got things like iPhones as well as earning a living just off of making videos. I could do that.
But these things take time. I’m thinking more towards a separate blog which actually serves a function – Which would then attract people there to click ads and whatnot. If I could couple this in with something like YouTube or something, it’s win win. I get money and a head start on the uni course I want to do. Sorted.
It doesn’t mean the end of personal blogging – Far from it. You’ve probably noticed me blogging about random things which aren’t about me personally and more about a show I’ve watched. Put simply, hot topics equals more visitors and more visitors means more fan base. More fan base means more linkage to any other project I do start ever.
If you’ve got any money-making suggestions, feel free to comment them or just to message me somehow. I’d be glad to know. Tah.

You could put some adverts on this site (have a look at Google Adsense)
Haha oops just read your blog post again and you said you didn’t want adverts…never mind
Yeah. But I might set up a seperate blog to serve some other purpose to have ads.
You could come up with something similar to that guy who sold advertising space on a website page by the pixel…
@simon: I’m liking the way you think.
