The whole driving thing.

I’m currently drafting a letter to my old lower school to see whether they have any space for me to go on some residential trip they do (or at least, still hope they do) so I can use it for my Duke of Edinburgh Gold award. Naturally, I end up going on Facebook. The Internet’s slow, so I thought I should blog while I wait, because I haven’t done it in a while.

There’s one thing that’s dominating my mind right now – Driving. No thanks to Gazz, who managed to find out the date of my driving test – I’m feeling quite anxious about it. If you want to find out when, I’m sure you can find someone arrogant enough to blurt it out after being told to keep it quiet. Grr.

But anyway, today I had my last lesson before my test, so everything needed to be perfect. We sort of went speedily through all the manoeuvres but the three point turn which is fine. Anyone who can’t do a three point turn simply shouldn’t have been put in for the test in the first place.

So yeah. Everything including bay parking went well. A little too well, I’m thinking. I don’t want to peek too soon, y’know, and bay parking is something I’ve only done about four times ever before that. We went over the show me tell me stuff and apart from that, I knew what I was doing. I did my first perfect, unaided parallel park which should’ve happened ages ago but meh, what are you going to do about it?

I’ve just been rooting through my stuff looking for my theory test certificate and panicking about that. I want to get it all right, otherwise Gazz just won’t stop rubbing it in… :p

    Good Luck.

Also I recommend doing the Pass Plus (Talk to your instructor about it). Its really useful. You learn a new way to park when the gap isn’t big enough for a parallel park. And driving on the motorway.

But If you are getting insured on a car straight away, ask if you can do that in the car you’re going to drive, so He/she can help you get the feel of it. (Swapping from the car I learnt to from the one Im driving was awful :P )

What Paul said, Pass Plus reduces your insurance too.

And as a young male, that’ll be quite high.

Otherwise Have Fun, and Good Luck!

Make sure you don’t drive anywhere near Will Chan either.

Really, I’m just looking to pass my test and be done with lessons. But I’m sure they’re worth it. :)
