Some facts and figures I thought would be somewhat interesting to find out and post. Friday’s seem like a bit of a day of lame blog posts, so I’ll liven it up a bit.
So, in 2008…
- I drank on average of 995 cups of tea
Needless to say, that’s a lot of cups of tea. - Almost 3000 Monopoly games could have been played by one person
If you want the figure for everyone in the entire world, that’s 4999999999500 games in total, assuming there are four players to each game. - There have been over 350 earthquakes in the UK
We only felt the one proper one here, but there’s plenty going on all the time. I like earthquakes. They’re quite cool. I want more proper ones. - I’ve told 117 jokes in bad taste
You know. Ones like ‘Why did H kill J? Because Jihad.’
- Over 3 billion people watched the games at the Beijing Olympics
That means 3 billion people watched the UK own the cycling, but fail everything else. Go us. - Over 4 billion people watched the opening ceremony to the Olympics
That means 4 billion people saw the little girl miming to a slightly less pretty girl’s singing voice. - UK housewives spent 47% of their free time on the Internet
Hang on, don’t housewives have free time all the time? If that’s the case, they wasted some 240000 minutes watching Charlie get his finger bitten. - The average Chinese person spends about 170000 minutes on the Internet
I bet most of this was spent playing World of Warcraft… - I spent more than 2900 hours doing Maths homework
BB just loves setting loads to do. Thanks, BB. Hmm. - Ian released 2 songs
So, if he did that over the average person’s lifetime from now until he dies, he would have amassed a total of 10 average length albums (That’s really being optimistic, though).
Feel free to add what you did in 2008 in the comments. Even though you won’t. I don’t get it.
