Well bugger me. That’s a turn-up for the books, eh?
I heard from Jack the other day that Matt Smith was second favourite to become the next Doctor Who. I was like "Really? If that actually happened, that’d be really awesome." but sort of doubted it ever would. But it has. Eheh. Matt Smith is the new Doctor Who.
Why is that such a big deal? Well, he comes from Northampton and, more importantly, went to my school – Northampton School for Boys. You hear about him from time to time around school, and the biggest deal before was the fact he’d stared alongside Billie Piper – aka Rose Tyler – in Ruby in the Smoke. That was big news, and everyone got all excited.
Now he’s the next Doctor Who. I mean, bloody hell, that’s a big step up. I’m sure the school will be brimming with excitement… especially the Drama department.
