I’m livin’ for the weekend… *HEY!*

If you don’t know what the titles from, you need educating in the field of 90s kid cartoon series:

So yeah. This weekend was going to be one of quite awesome qualities. While some things didn’t go exactly to plan, it still came out as a weekend to remember. As Liam would say – good times, good times.

Bates had been planning another meet up with Hayley and Michelle for a while now, and this weekend was planned to have said meeting. However, after a few little shenanigans late on, it was almost not going to happen, but it did. One being that because of the snow days, we’re behind in our maths course, so we needed to catch up somehow. Best idea? After school lesson on Friday. It meant I had to rush around to get there on time, but I did it. :)

130116Me, Simon, Bates, Hayley and Michelle went Laser Zone for some hardcore shooting action. We had a couple of games with a slightly (read ‘embarrassingly’) drunk Hayley. The others I couldn’t really tell whether they were or not, but someone who doesn’t realise you shoot with the gun in front of you, well, it’s kind of obvious…

First game we played us five against this other random couple who, lets face it, looked like they came here to quote "own you bitches!!!", but they lost to team awesome. That game I came second in. Woot, etc. The second game, me and Simon went on our own team to spice it up a bit, where we won again. The keen people went before they could lose any more, but hell yeah.

After a rather impromptu couple of detours (this time, my bad. I really should learn how to parallel park better…) and a failure to find anything good in Blockbuster, we head to Bates’ house. Fun was had, drinks were drunk, memories were… had, I think… and yes, we had a good time. All apart from whatever that nasty red stuff bates made me practically down half a cup of. Needless to say, within about fifteen minutes, that came back to greet me. Lovely. Remember kids, never trust Bates.

So after getting some sleep for a change, I wake up at six with the rest of them, and we keep talking. Simon grabs the one-man recliner and doesn’t budge and bates does food for everyone. I wasn’t particularly hungry, so I just had a cup of tea to make sure I was able to actually drive Michelle to the train station when the time came. It didn’t stop Hayley drinking more alcohol but, well, when in Rome…

Then at 7pm we went down to Sixfields to do the seemingly weekly pool session with the regular faces, as well as Christy and Wayne. Simon couldn’t come because I gave him my illness which, apparently, doesn’t mix well with alcohol. Shame. We had fun. I managed to not go down the hill despite actually being thrown down it. I still got grass stains on my jeans, though, somehow.

Then there’s Sunday. Mother’s Day but more importantly, homework day. It’s a killer to an awesome weekend, but these things happen. :p Nothing yet planned for next weekend, but most people are out celebrating Nadine’s 18th. Anyone up for something? :)
