Ahh, April. There’s an interesting month in my life. It went from making 2009 not suck so much to reaffirming the status that yes, 2009 is actually the worst year in history. Those avid followers (Well, follower) of my 7 Things will realise that while March was awesome, April sucked arse.
Well, with Longtown, Easter and other such… surprises, it’s up to me to relay how the month went in seven little aspects. Hope you enjoy, but if you don’t, just pretend that you did…
My posture
Okay, you caught me. Over this month of Longtown, crap happening and general intense schoolwork, I’ve let this one sleep. Emomatt is sad at this fact.
However, the other day I noted it and have been trying my darnedest to get it back to how it was last month. Right now, I still don’t have a new chair, which I said about a long time ago, but seeing as in the next month or so I’ll be spending a lot of time on it, I best invest in one.
Lack of henchness
Right. Okay. This one’s more boring to hear about.
While the past few months I’ve been doing stuff during the day, this month I haven’t. Well, I did leading up to Longtown, didn’t do any in Longtown or since. I’ve had no motivation to do it, which is bad.
There is one thing on the rise though – body image. Hey, now I can somewhat tolerate seeing myself in the mirror, instead of pretending I don’t know that person. While it was better before Longtown, it’s still pretty good. I don’t want it to just disappear now, though, which I’m fearing, but we’ll see as we go.
Poor excuse for style
I could’ve sworn Nadine got me this hat in March, but seeing as it seems like something I’d mention here last time, I can only assume she didn’t. But yeah. This hat would be the only awesome piece of clothing I have gotten this month. Well, I did get a couple of pairs of boxers but, well, they don’t really count.
Still no shopping trip planned, but right now I’m looking at 40% off coupons for Peacocks thanks to John. They’re valid until Sunday. I’ll go have a gander Saturday, I think.
But yeah. We had a glimpse of summer, and I had nothing to wear but jeans and a t-shirt. Blimey. I need styling. Badly.
My nerdy lifestyle
It’s a real shame I chose so you couldn’t see this pictures full view. It really is. If you’re desperate, go rummage through Plurk. It’ll be there somewhere…
If I’m perfectly honest, I think this is going pretty well. Sure, the deadline for computing coursework belly flopped into this month, but I’ve done more non-nerdy things than nerdy things I think. Sure, it’s up for debate, but yeah. I mean, caving, rock climbing and camping isn’t exactly nerdy, is it?
I’ve put work on my little happy game thing until after the exams, seeing as we have a wadge of time in between the Geography synoptic exam and… anything else. It’ll happen, and most likely use the resources from socialelement.co.uk seeing as that’s all but died (but has gained viewers since. That’s weird).
My hairstyle
Nothing much changed on this front, again.
My hair grows. It’s magic. It’s now getting back to full Beatles-style loveliness. I’ve started using the hair stuff again, and half the time it looks awesome.
Depending on how lazy I am when I get out of bed, I wet my hair down and leave it to dry as I get ready. Nine times out of ten it’s dry by the time I put the stuff in. If it’s still wet, it just goes and looks overly greasy. But yay for looking awesome half the time.
As the day goes on it looks crappier and crappier. But that can’t be avoided. It looks best straight after a shower and blow-dried hair (as I found out when leaving it late getting ready for Nadine’s party a month back). So yeah. If I can be less lazy enough to have a shower in the morning, I could do that.
Social ineptness
Eheh. Reading over last month’s section, things couldn’t really be any more of a contrast.
I missed out on fun times while in Longtown. When I get back from Longtown (seriously, like, within the hour) things start snowballing, and I’ve been doing less and less things out as a result.
We had a good spell of weather the other week, so I held a little fun time in the sunshine. While, well, almost everyone had fun, that’s the only real thing I did this month. Sure, there’s been trips to the cinema and whatnot, but that’s the only thing I’ve properly been able to call a fun time out.
Meh. May’s another month. Maybe it oscillates in awesomeness…
Not a risk-taker
Finally, the section which never really has anything to really tick off… apart from this month.
As I’ve said throughout this blog post, I went to Longtown. There’s pictures of me on Facebook (thanks to Emma. <3) conquering my fears of small spaces, heights and… well… generally doing adrenaline things. It was a week which changed me as a person greatly and I miss it dearly.
But yeah. I need more risky things for next month. Ideas, people, are much appreciated.
So there’s April wrapped up in a nutshell for you. Here’s hoping May doesn’t turn into a complete ‘mare I’m thinking it will. We’ll wait and see, kids, won’t we…

I’m hoping May gets better.
And, you have more than me as 7 Things follower…
Okay, then, I have two 7 Things followers. :p
Is also a follower, seeing how he set you one…two of the tasks
And I think we should go on a roadtrip in a camper van somewhere xD
Sure. Got a camper van?
my grandparents do…but no. We could rent one?
