Today Jimmy Carr announced his new tour – elegantly titled Rapier Wit – to start this Summer, as his current tour Joke Technician draws to a close.
The tour kicks off as it stands in Dorking at the Halls venue on September 3rd and the current dates go through Birmingham, Peterborough, Coventry, Reading, Newcastle, and ending on a three-day spectacular at the Hammersmith Apollo on the 11th, 12th and 13th of December 2009. New dates for 2010 are going to be released later in the year.
For more information about the tour, Jimmy will be on the Graham Norton Show on Thursday at 10pm. Him on the Graham Norton Show is always a laugh, so watch it anyway.
As it stands, no dates for Derngate Northampton (or even the Deco, which I saw had people going in it the other day. Interesting.) and we’re usually one of the first stops he makes. Although, saying that, we went to see Repeat Offender in February a couple of years ago, so it’s more than possible it’s later on this time around.
But yeah. I love Jimmy Carr. He’s an amazing comedian, even if Steve Kay and Timi don’t think so. :p
