A long weekend.

To be fair, it’s become more of a long day, seeing as I haven’t had all that much sleep this weekend for one reason or another. Mainly just because everyone else has too much energy, or too little energy and take all the good sleeping spaces…

Technically (According to Radio 1, anyway), the weekend starts Friday at 7pm. What was I doing then? Well, probably homework. Maths homework, most likely. We had a C4 exam after school Friday which I sucked majorly at. I also flicked through my new Geography synoptic prerelease. That’s… fun…

I also listened to the Poo Song. It’s ever so lovely. I think you should listen. (Yeah, I don’t blame you for not either)

Saturday

Schleepy Jake Saturday, though, was the day of two things. One being the Cobblers being relegated to League Two football next season, and the other being Carl’s party. Funnily enough the first event never got mentioned at the second event. I wonder why. But yeah, me along with Siobhan, Jack and John – then later Christy, Jordan and Jake… then later again minus Jordan – had a little shindig around Carl’s house. Saying that, so did Paris Hilton his sister.

After failing to get the barbeque properly going, we use a disposable one. Christy already had a barbeque in the park (because she’s way too cool for school) so she didn’t have a lot, but the rest of us did it justice. While some things got cremated because they got forgotten, it was still well received.

Daemon CarlSo while we sort of hang out and get somewhat jealous of Jade – Carl’s sister – having more of a party than we were, we go on a bit of a trip to get some supplies. Unfortunately, we get nothing but cornflake cakes and Doctor Who Adventures magazine and lose Jordan to Nadine’s thing. So all in all, not successful.

We go up to Carl’s room, huddle up and play Irish Snap. Me and John go have a  quiet little talk, and we have a search party out for us. We could hear Duguid sharing how he’d lost The Game, but we couldn’t hear them looking for us. Weird.

"It's like how those illegal immigrant families sleep..." I think in the end I got about two hours sleep, which is above average for everyone else, seeing as they didn’t have a pillow and a blanket in their car. Couldn’t sleep at about 6am, so me and John went to see what state Carl’s sister and her friends had left the house in. Typical house party sort of things, with the lovely smell of vomit in the air. Lovely. Me and John clear up outside, joke about a condom on his patio, and head back in until the rest wake up.

Sunday

MySpace shots and general annoyances to the others later, me and John leave, along with Christy. I drop John off home and get home myself. A few hours later, I see John say something about a party at Christy’s. I’m like "John, she said the 23rd May…" but apparently, yes, there was one earlier. After talking to Bates, I manage to get myself invited. Woot, etc.

Schleepy Christy Bates’ mum gladly gives me a lift (but we couldn’t wait for Nadine to finish work. Damn those people who need to eat food. :P ) and me and Bates arrive at a rather ecstatic Louden household. Her mum and dad are both amazing and mental. Either way, I’m not going to say no to another barbeque.

We drink alcohol, play with the cat and reminisce in the lounge until Nadine and Jordan come round. Then we start playing a bit of Wii action, which lasted all but about twenty minutes… then we drank more. Then we went for a bit of hot tub action. I wasn’t there at the time, but Jordan got pushed in fully clothed. While I can believe being pushed, I’m more inclined to take the fact that he fell in it.

I mean, with not getting a lot of sleep, and having a long day the couple of days before that, I was seriously feeling tired by about midnight. They played Spin the Bottle which, as anyone who knows me knows, I’m not a particular fan of. But yeah. They played it for ages. Things start getting bloody… close when Bates is involved, eh?

Epic mirror. I wake up at half an hour intervals to find people in various stages of knackered-ness. Bates goes off with Christy and Becky upstairs and… well… that’s all I know. Well, that and the fact Christy’s cat frightened me to death when it jumped onto the chair I was on.

Oh, and every time Nadine breathed in when asleep, she sounded like a chicken. Now there’s an interesting story.

So yeah. I hitched a ride to Abby Park thanks to Jordan’s dad when he took Nadine and Jordan to work. From there I walked home, contemplating things, and liked the feeling of being outside in the morning when I have nothing else planned. Happy days.

So that’s a rather fun, yet impromptu weekend for you. I’m sure some of you will find holes in it where it wasn’t, but I thought it was pretty good.
