Ahh, July. Home of Independence Day and… well… that’s about it, to be fair. We don’t even celebrate Independence Day. Fail. But it is the birthday month of choice for Jordan, V, Helen and Bates. Okay, then a few things happened. But how are my 7 Things shaping up?
My posture
Well, here’s one that’s going in reverse. Although, to be fair, if you’re expressing interest in my back, any news is good news. I just don’t tell you enough about my back now, do I?
Thanks to Duke of Edinburgh, my progress has been set back (ahah, back) slightly. I’m now imitating the hunchback of Notre Dame thanks to lugging all that stuff on my back. It’s getting back to how it was though. It should do, anyway. It was only four days and it was two weeks ago. Fail.
Lack of henchness
Okay, so at no point in the past month have I been to a gym. Bad me, I know. This goal won’t achieve itself. But meh, since the school gym closed, I don’t want to *pay* to put effort into something. Who’s idea was that? No no, I’d rather sit around drinking Dr Pepper and watch Neighbours, tah.
Although in… what… two days from now, I’m off to Canada. I’ll be walking most places, and the hotel has a gym you can use for free. So while I don’t think I’ll be using is as much as some people, I think I’ll give it some use. I mean, I’ve paid for it, right?
The belly is still there, but I think really it’s just made worse by me looking at it all the time. It’ll go down if I ignore it, I’m sure. Ignorance is bliss, right?
Poor excuse for style
Okay, another one which hasn’t changed. Yay for exciting updates!
I think I’ll get some fancy sort of clothes from Canada, with any luck. I need some new jeans because, well, the ones I have either suck or overworn. Problem, there. I hear clothes are cheap out there… well, they’re cheaper anywhere but here. So yeah. I’ll have a gander.
Oh, and a hat. I think I need a hat.
Nerdy lifestyle
To be fair, there’s not a lot I can really do about this one. It’s the summer holidays, and it’s time to get my foot in the door for uni. I’m going to have to be a little bit of a nerd.
You know that ball game I mentioned in the last update? Yeah, I’ve been working on that a bit. All that oh so fun sounding gotoAndStop();, coinCollect Function();, etc is all too much fun to bear, right…? Hmm. It’s almost done, and it’s there mainly to earn money – however small – thanks to Kongregate and MochiAds. So yeah. Woop. Go me…
My hairstyle
Hold the phone people. I’ve actually found a hairstyle I like, and haven’t got to cut my hair off any time soon. Woohoo! Thank God for that…
Basically, I was shopping for travel size stuff when I came across that little pot of hair… gunk stuff… for £1 in Tesco. I thought "Brilliant, I’ve been meaning to try this stuff for a while, but not want to pay loads for a big pot I might not use". I got it and love it. Apart from it hates getting wet (a problem in England, I can tell you), it makes awesome hairstyles. I haven’t quite got the quantity you use right yet, but still, it’s getting there. Give me a break, I’m new to this sort of thing.
But yeah. Just in time for Canada too. Good times.
Social ineptness
Finally, it’s people’s birthdays. It’s a time to party and stuff. Yeah! PARTIES.
We had, what, Jordan’s party the day I got back from Duke of Edinburgh, which was fun. We had that night out in town, which I told you about and some fun times with the underage kids in between. So it’s all good.
On meeting new people I’ve noticed, for the most part, I’m no longer withdrawn and quiet, assuming I’m in the mood to meet new people, that is. So I get to know some awesome people… well, or know that they suck and avoid them forever more. Either or.
In Canada we’re going to be meeting up with Jordan’s Canadian friends in person, which will be an experience, I’m sure. Shame I can’t see V while I’m out there, but who knows, maybe she’ll pop up to Toronto randomly. We can live in hope, I suppose.
Not a risk-taker
No, sorry. I haven’t taken up sword swallowing. Nor have I, in fact, taken up anything which involves risk of some sort. Hmm. Bad me.
I suppose investing £1400 on a trip to Canada is risky, but I’ve used that one so many times for this section.
So I don’t know. Maybe… hmm… banking on going to uni for a future? Ahh, well, hmm. Suggest things for me to do, yeah?
So that’s another recap sorted. Next month’s one should be much more fun filled than this one, and may be the last one from my house. *gasp* We’ll see how life pans out later on, shall we?
