Thanks to Timi on the old Plurkage I came across this rather fanciful project called One & Other.
The idea is a fairly simple one. You have members of the general public stand on a platform for 100 days – an hour at a time. During their hour, this person can do whatever they like to an audience in Trafalgar Square.
This was the brainchild of one Antony Gormley. That’s the guy responsible for many structures made from man, including great things such as the Angel of the North and those rather creepy statues they had around London a couple of years ago, which many people reported were people committing suicide. Haha. Whoopsy.
He also wanted to erect a 40-foot high ejaculating man in Seattle, but got turned down. I think, somehow, One & Other was one of his better ideas…
So yeah. Anyone can do anything. If you really want to, and you’re free in September or October you can still apply by going to their website. I have, but only because I like entering competitions which are free to do so. If I win, I have no idea what I’d do, but it would be fun, I’m sure. 
So yeah. If you’re a bored tourist, go pop down to London and see this quote-unquote "exhibition" in Trafalgar Square. Can’t be bothered? Well, you can just watch it streamed live from their website. Awesome.
