ChartJackers

Call me a nerd all you like, but I think this project is pretty damn awesome.

Starting next Saturday, UK YouTubers johnnydurham19, jimmy0010, nerimon and charlieissocoollike start their project called ChartJackers. Isn’t that lovely.

But your thinking "Wow, that’s exciting. Can I carry on bouncing my ball in peace, now, please?" and I say "No, because this is important". For the next 10-ish weeks, these guys are going to be making a collaborative single for Children in Need. Now I know at least two of them have an album out already thanks to YouTube, but it’s not them that will be doing all the hard graft. It’s you, the Internet people.

They’ll be making a song which brings in ideas from everyone subscribed to their YouTube channel. One time they might ask for lyrics, another for a band, another for cover art… that sort of thing. From this they’ll make a song and raise money for that notable cause, all the while being followed by BBC Switch. That’s kind of funky.

So if you fancy getting involved in something that’s bound to get into the UK Top 40, then go ahead and subscribe to their channel. Starting next week, you could make a difference. :o Doesn’t that make you feel all warm inside?
