I’d like to draw the world’s attention to perhaps the most pressing question we’d like hear answered from Gordon Brown in this troubled times – What’s his favourite biscuit?
The Prime Minister Gordon Brown has revealed he’s partial to a biscuit with a bit of chocolate on it, after he was accused of side-stepping the question in a recent web chat with the visitors of Mumsnet – a parenting blog.
While chatting with the parent visitors to the site, he was accused of cherry-picking the best questions to answer from those that were submitted. Questions about MP’s expenses, Sure Start and breastfeeding were addressed by the big man himself – which I thought would be enough – but evidently not. It turns out there had been a lot of speculation on the site as to what his favourite biscuit was, but when the time came to ask he didn’t reply. That was until he replied to the question on Twitter later on.
Mumsnet still don’t know whether he dunks or not, which leads to an entirely new realm of questions – how long do you leave it dunked? Do you mind if the chocolate melts off into the tea? What do you do if the biscuit falls into the tea? All these unanswered questions!
So as well as addressing questions about his health, he let us know what his favourite biscuit was. That’s the sort of thing I’d love to hear more of from the PM, personally. Me, not being interested in politics at all. These sort of mini-facts would get me interested, honest. I’d like to hear what his favourite Pokemon is, to be frank. It’s these life-burning questions that might make me vote for whoever answers them.
