Hey, just a little update for you on the whole ChartJackers scene. Their crowd-sourced song is out now. So go buy it. Now.
Okay, so it’s on YouTube, but still buy it, kay? Mainly because all of your 79p’s go to Children in Need. If you didn’t know what Children in Need is all about, then the BBC can sort you out. But essentially it’s an annual charity appeal held by the BBC with a night of entertainment designed to make you dig into your pockets for the people that need it. Aww.
The ChartJackers single "I’ve Got Nothing" isn’t the official Children in Need single – that’s BandAged’s All You Need Is Love, which comes out next week – but is perhaps one which is more youth-orientated. That, in my mind, will make it more likely to get into the charts. That and the fact it’s got everyone working together to produce it, so everyone will want it.
(It’s a good project too, because even 4Chan can’t touch it. I mean, what are they going to do, buy all the other songs in the top 40 so it doesn’t chart as well? That’s not much like them, is it…)
It’s available now as an iTunes-only download. tinyurl.com/CJiTunes So easy, even I could do it.
I’m sure you could not download it if you hate it that much, but do it so it makes us nerds slightly happier.
