Anyone who knows me (or even just visits my blog on occasion) knows I’m a bit of a fan of flashmobs. If you don’t know what they are, don’t worry I won’t kill you. Put simply they’re where large groups of people do something seemingly at random in a public place then quickly disperse. Kind of like a terrorist attack, but without people dying.
If you weren’t put off by my off-the-cuff comment about terrorism, then it’s time to learn the dance. But first a little background, just so you don’t learn it and you don’t have to. That’d suck, wouldn’t it? Seeing as it looks kind of gay.
The tagline for this year’s Eurovision is “Share the Moment” – so it’s pretty heavily basing itself on the whole social media shebang. The idea is to get thousands of people across Europe to be doing the same dance during the interval of the Eurovision Song Contest. Genius idea.
But there’s only 10 cities participating and these are yet to be announced. Although those confirmed include the likes of Barcelona, Oslo and Reykjavik. So here’s hoping there’s a London one. I’d go. =]
By the looks of it, they’re being pre-recorded like a month in advance, so there’s not that long to learn the dance (think late April time), but hey, a flashmob is a flashmob. I love them =]

Ohmygosh.
Count me in. <3
