Journey to Norfamptan.

Hoorah. I’m back in my native homeland. I call it that because I arrived by car and they run on wheels which haven’t been discovered here yet.

I’ve never been a big fan of the long car journey. I’d locked my iPod in the boot, which generally makes me feel sick on long journeys anyway. But that just recently has been the outlet of boredom (now that animation’s been completed anyway).

The bit I hate about long car journeys is the fact you just can’t move. Despite what you probably think of me – a blogger who on a Friday night is sitting in and talking about his day to what is essentially himself – I like getting out and about. Staying in one spot just makes me restless, snack more and have an increase chance of needing the toilet, but that’s for another bog (lolpun).

I need a distraction from being stuck in the same place. I mean, the radio is sometimes “Ole Faithful” but when it’s hearing countless cookie-cutter indie songs in between trails for Chris Moyles’ ego that doesn’t work – doubly so when it’s drowned out by the rumble of a motorway. Yay for technology.

So like I said, the iPod’s usually the outlet. Bit of DoodleJump, Tap Tap Revenge or Mr AahH! (which is totally underrated in my opinion). I’d love an iPhone, so at least I could check Facebook or latch myself onto one of these location-based social networks. Not that I’m sure I’d like everyone seeing that I’m the mayor of Sainsbury’s Poole, but whatever.

Anyway, I managed to stomach the glorious radio that is Fearne Cotton shaving off her producer’s beard and texting while in a car (which also makes me feel sick, for the record) and I’m back sitting at the desk that I’ve whittled away too much of my life at.

So I’m a waiting for fun times to tick round when people are available. Woop. Homefully I’ll get… unfat during this Easter break. I know that’s unlikely through, y’know, the whole nomming on Easter eggs thing. But I’m not aiming to get thin, just thinner without the temptation of cheap bourbons by my side.
