I’m a supporter of the Blue Ribbon campaign to stop bloggers from being threatened or having legal action taken against them for something they’ve said.
The Electronic Frontier Foundation might sound quite hippy-like, but it’s been standing for peoples digital rights from 1990 – Well before the Internet became a household word. They fight on behalf of the people lost in cyberspace, where people have been attacked simply because they didn’t know their legal rights.
They’ve fought on behalf of certain well known Internet sites such as Wikipedia and the Internet Archive as well as those wishing to honestly use Peer-to-peer networks or create their own radio station. These people are simply trying to help other people, and aren’t looking to break any laws.
That’s what I do. I blog about whatever I feel which, since I started blogging in June 2005, has aroused one or two minor discrepancies which I had to deal with. So before you get angry, just remember it’s what I do. Before you ask why, just remember to take any comment with a pinch of salt. Before you take legal action, just remember I know my rights.
